Farm specializes in crop production and livestock breeding.

Since 2007 they have several cows. In 2010, started to deal with the meat sector of livestock, and since 2013 — milk production.

Now total herd size is 400 heads: 160 milking cows, the rest — replacements and fattening bulls. Calves were bought from the population and on industrial dairy farms, now they grow their stock due to their own reproduction.

Breed — Ukrainian black-and-white.

Milking herd and heifers are kept loose in barns and open lots, dry and fresh cows for 5−7 days, as well as bulls are kept fixed.

Since March 2017 they use SpeedLine Milking parlour 2×6 (DeLaval).

High-yielding cows are milked three times a day, low-yielding — twice.

Average daily yield per cow is 25 kg.

Farm produces Higher Grade milk with fat content 3,7%, protein — 3,2%, SCC — 130 thousand/ml.

The main focus is on the prevention of diseases: maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene at farm, balanced feeding, vaccination (calves from 1 to 3 months and dry cows) and dehelminthisation (twice a year, spring and autumn).

The incidence of mastitis is 6%.

Cows are inseminated when there are signs of natural heat (60%) and synchronization scheme (40%), thanks to the latter, the performance indicators have improved significantly. The period of voluntary waiting is 45 days.

Heifers are inseminated at 16 months (weighing in the range of 400 kg). Planed age of insemination is 14 months.

In the first hour after birth calf is given 2 liters of colostrum. During the day, calves drink 6 liters of whole milk, have free access to water, hay and granulated feed.
Calves are weaned when they are 42−49 days.
