Import of palm oil to Russia in January 2018 increased by 27.8%

 

Import of palm oil and its fractions to Russia in January 2018 increased by 27.8% compared to January last year, but compared to the previous month it decreased by almost half.

Import of cheese and cottage cheese in January increased by 1.6% to 16.7 thousand tons compared to the same period last year and decreased by 0.7% compared to December 2017.

The supply of butter in January decreased by 28.2%, year to year; during the month (compared to December) the figure rose by 13.6%.

Import of non—condensed milk and cream grew by 44.4% compared to January last year and by almost 50% in comparison with December and amounted to 27.7 thousand tons.

The import of condensed milk and cream decreased in January by 45.5% to 12.7 thousand tons including the supply of milk and cream powder in the amount of 9 thousand tons or 53.6% of January 2017. However, compared to December last year the import increased by 11%.

In general, in January 2018 foreign trade turnover of Russia amounted, according to the Bank of Russia, to $49.8 billion (127,5% to January 2017.), including export — $33.4 billion (131.3%), import — $16.4 billion (120.4%).
