Raw milk prices are rising

 

At the beginning of October 2023, the price of raw milk in Ukraine increased by 0.46 UAH on average. Purchase prices are rising under the influence of restrictions on the supply of raw milk in the domestic market, says the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers, Giorgii Kukhaleishvili.

The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk as of October 1 amounted to 12.75 UAH/kg without VAT, which is 0.52 UAH more than in the previous period. The price range for this grade in farms varies from 11.30 to 13.40 UAH/kg without VAT. The lower limit of the price range increased by 0.55 UAH, and the upper limit — by 0.60 UAH.

Higher Grade on average costs 12.41 UAH/kg without VAT. Over the past month, the price of this grade has increased by 0.52 UAH. Prices for Higher Grade milk range from 10.00 to 12.50 UAH/kg without VAT. The price range has not changed since the previous monitoring.

The average price of Grade I milk amounted to 11.95 UAH/kg without VAT and increased by 0.32 UAH compared to the results of previous monitoring. The minimum price in farms was 9.90 UAH/kg, which is 0.20 UAH higher than a month ago. The maximum price for Grade I was 12.00 UAH/kg, which is 0.65 UAH more compared to previous monitoring.

Accordingly, the weighted average price of the three grades amounted to 12.46 UAH/kg without VAT and increased by 0.46 UAH.
