The price of Extra Grade milk continues to rise

 

Over the past month, raw milk in Ukraine has risen in price by 0.46 UAH on average. Purchase prices are rising under the influence of the limited supply of raw milk in the domestic market and the active demand for dairy products from consumers, says the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Giorgiy Kukhaleishvili.

The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk as of October 24 was 13.07 UAH/kg without VAT, which is 0.54 UAH more than according to the results of the monitoring carried out in the second half of September. Compared to monitoring in the first half of October, raw milk rose in price by 0.13 UAH. The price range for this grade in farms varies from 12.30 to 13.50 UAH/kg without VAT. Over the past month, the lower limit of the price range has increased by 0.60 UAH, and the upper limit has increased by 0.50 UAH.

Higher Grade costs 12.68 UAH/kg on average without VAT. Over the last month, the price of this grade has increased by 0.36 UAH. Prices for Higher Grade milk range from 12.05 to 12.8 UAH/kg without VAT. The lower limit of the price range increased by 0.55 UAH, and the upper limit increased by 0.30 UAH, compared to previous periods.

The average price of Grade I milk amounted to 11.90 UAH/kg without VAT and increased by 0.41 UAH, compared to the monitoring results in the first half of October. The minimum price in farms was 11.70 UAH/kg, which is 0.52 UAH more than a month ago. The maximum price for Grade I was 12.10 UAH/kg, which is 0.40 UAH more compared to the second half of September.

Accordingly, the weighted average price of three grades amounted to 12.87 UAH/kg without VAT and increased by 0.46 UAH for the last month.
