Ukraine: raw milk market in September
According to IFCN, world milk price in September was US$39/100 kg (ECM), which is up 1.6% from August 2017 and 17% from September 2016.
In Ukraine, milk prices also increased. Active export and low milk supply were the main drivers. This was reported by analyst of Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AVM) Yana Muzychenko.
The average price for Extra Grade milk was ₴9.51/kg (including VAT). It is up 14.3% from August and 53% from September last year.
Higher Grade milk during the month added 12.3% and was ₴9/kg. Grade I was ₴8.60/kg, up 12% from August.
As compared with world prices, milk prices are still lower in Ukraine — US$29.16/100 kg (ECM).
