Weekly milk prices monitoring
Purchase milk prices are still growing. The processors' demand was the main reason that stimulated prices this week.
Analytical department of Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine announced this information.
Processors are in need of raw milk, that is why they agree to raise prices. However, the whole situation at the dairy market depends on the behavior of customers, whether they will be able to buy expensive dairy products or not. There is a high probability that purchase prices will stabiliz before holiday.
Hryvna is crashing in relation to dollar. Today 1 dollar costs 26.02 UAH (NBU), which is 0,47 UAH more than previous week.
Average price for diesel gas oil hasn’t changed since previous week, adding only 0,02 UAH/l since December 6, now it costs 20.59 UAH per liter.
According to the results of milk prices monitoring from December 6, average price for extra grade milk followed an upward trend 0.49 UAH more — 8.98UAH/kg. However, offers of 9.50 UAH per kg are dominating, but contracts with a price 10−10.20 UAH/kg can also be found at the market as rare cases. The maximum price for this grade was paid in Chernigiv region — 9.45 UAH/kg, and the lowest — 7.90 UAH/kg in Volyn region.
The average price for higher grade milk reached 8.11UAH/kg, which is 0.29 UAH more than previous week. The maximum price for this grade was paid in Poltava region — 8.80 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Zaporizhia region — 7 UAH/kg.
According to the results of monitoring, the price for Grade I milk went 0.45 UAH up (7,70 UAH/kg). The highest price for it was paid in Kyiv region — 8.60 UAH/kg, and the lowest — 7 UAH/kg in Lviv region.
Prices for whole milk products were stable this week. Processors are planning to review its prices on the second half of the month. The average price for pasteurized milk (fat content 3.2%) was 25 UAH/kg, drinking yogurt price reached 45.93 UAH/kg.
Export prices for cheese and butter are still setting the bar high for the domestic market. Butter raised in price this week to 156.4 UAH/kg (+2.78 UAH), spread — 66.3 UAH/kg (+1 UAH). Cheese price went 3,66 UAH/kg up — 142.3 UAH/kg.
