Belarus has lowered export minimum dairy prices

 

The change in the minimum recommended export prices corresponds to dynamics of the Russian and world markets.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus has reacted to changes in dynamics of prices on the world dairy market. The last two sessions of the Global DairyTrade auction ended in quotes decline. Since January, Russian market has also been showing the decline in prices for stock dairy products. In addition, the prices for Belarusian products are denominated in Russian rubles and appreciably increased in dollar terms after strengthening of the Russian currency.

Belarus has lowered the minimum recommended export prices for SMP by 10 Russian rubles. Now the SMP standard recommended price is no less than 170 RUS/kg and SMP extra — no cheaper than 175 RUB/kg.

WMP became cheaper by RUB10. The minimum recommended export price is now RUB230.
Prices of butter have lowered by RUB20. It is recommended to export 72.5% butter not cheaper than 315 RUB/kg, butter of 82.5% fat content — no cheaper than 345 RUB/kg.

The prices for cheeses have not changed and make 285 and 290 Russian rubles for cheese and cheese product with fat content less than 45% and more than 45% respectively.

Belarus is changing the minimum recommended export prices for the first time this year. Previous change was made on 1 December. The new prices come into force on March 18.
