Workshop on Feeding. Speakers: Evert Jan Niemeijer, Jelmer Ham, Mark Kroese, Dmirty Nichiporuk.

In reality, cows are fed five rations instead of one. These are the calculated, the loaded, the unloaded, the consumed and finally the digested ration. In practice, these rations are often all different from each other. But this is not what we want in high producing herds.

In practice, these rations are often all different from each other. But this is not what we want in high producing herds.

In this workshop, you will get tools and understanding how to make sure that the digested ration is as close as possible to the calculated ration. During the workshop manure scoring, ration scoring, the use of the TMR tracker and the way how to load and mix the ration for an optimal result are demonstrated.

Workshop on Forage Production. Speakers: Lex van der Weerd, Rene Kremers, Yaroslav Pankiv, Volodymyr Kovalenko

The basis for an efficient and profitable dairy farm is the production of quality roughage. During the workshop, a field with NutriFibre (grass) and Lucerne will be visited. On the field, the special features of the grass and Lucerne will be explained as well as the results of the feed analysis will be shown. Workshop Measuring is knowing. Speakers: Harm Jan van der Beek, Ivan Pankiv, Anna Kachurets, Olena Zymenok

Fertility-, health-, feed-, milk- etc. data will be integrated used for management figures. The farm-management program of Uniform-Agri will be shown and explained. Monitoring of diseases by bulk milk sampling is part of this workshop.
