Monitoring — milk prices increase
Purchase prices for milk keep growing trend.
It is reported by the analytical department of the Association of dairy producers of Ukraine.
According to the monitoring results from August 31, the average price for extra quality milk was 5.94 UAH/kg, which is 5 kopecks more than prices last week and 11 kopecks more than last month. The highest price for such milk, like last week, was paid in Kiev region — 6,50 UAH/kg, and the lowest — in Khmelnytsky and Zaporizhzhya regions — 5.40 UAH.
The price for high quality milk added 3 kopecks — up to 5.79 UAH/kg. The maximum price was paid in the Lviv oblast — 6.22 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Luhansk — 5.20 UAH.
First quality milk also increased by 3 kopecks — up to 5.71 UAH/kg. The maximum price for it was paid in Rivne region — 5.97 UAH/kg, and the lowest — in Kharkiv — 5.34 UAH.
At the same time, production of milk products in July fell by 3.44% and amounted to 971.3 thousand tons.
Cheese production reduced the most — 66.9 ths. tons (-7,47%) processed milk — by 5,38%, to 548.3 thousand. t, and yoghurt (-0.2%, 254 ths. t).
Production of cottage cheese still demonstrates growth - 41 thousand t. (+5.67%). In addition, for the first time since the beginning of the year production of butter increased — 61.1 thousand t. (+0.7%).
