Trend of rising prices for raw milk in Ukraine

In early July, raw milk prices in Ukraine remained stable, but are expected to rise amid rising butter prices. After the renewal of the trade agreement with the EU, Ukraine received expanded quotas for dairy exports, which contributed to the restoration of supplies and the emergence of a raw milk shortage on the domestic market, — reports Georgy Kukhaleyshvili, an analyst of the Association of Milk Producers.

The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk as of July 9 was 16.00 UAH/kg excluding VAT. The price range for this grade on farms varies from 15.50 to 16.50 UAH/kg excluding VAT.

Higher Grade costs an average of 15.75 UAH/kg excluding VAT. Prices for Higher Grade milk range from 15.30 to 16.20 UAH/kg excluding VAT.

The average price for Grade I milk was 15.45 UAH/kg excluding VAT. The minimum price on farms was 15.00 UAH/kg. The maximum price was 15.60 UAH/kg.

Compared to the beginning of June 2025, prices in the middle of the price corridor, the minimum and maximum prices for all three grades remained unchanged.

Accordingly, the weighted average price of the three grades was 15.80 UAH/kg excluding VAT and has not changed over the last month.
